![]() ![]() I didn't think that making windows 7 install from a USB 3.0 port would be so difficult. Even some of the installation packages state that they are the wrong version for the installation. Several of the USB and installation packages fail when trying to use dism and throw either an error code 2, code 5, or code 50 in select sections even when I user the /forceunsigned switch for the drivers. I have also tried additional methods for not only drivers but adding update packages to the boot and install wims using this video as a guide. I've also heard about the trick of removing the USB drive when you get the missing drivers screen, and inserting back into the same or different port with no luck. It still states that I am missing drivers for some reason. ![]() I have taken one of our newer laptops and downloaded and extracted all of it's specific drivers (chipset, USB controller, chipset management) and used dism commands as shown on the page below in addition to the ones already noted on this page. It seems like I am able to load drivers and boot into the installation environment but somehow I am still missing drivers. I Am doing my best to get USB 3.0 drivers on my copy of Windows 7 SP1 Bootable Flash Drive. ![]()
